Challenge
15+ products had drifted into inconsistent, inaccessible UI.
My role
Design system strategy and design, over 6 months, in Figma, Jira and Confluence.
Result
40% faster handoff, 58% fewer high-severity UI bugs, and every component WCAG 2.1 AA compliant.
The short version
The problem
Mr. Cooper's 15+ digital products had no shared design language. Users got confused, and teams kept rebuilding the same things. Uneven accessibility created compliance risk, and the patchy look weakened trust in the brand.
How I worked
- Audit 15+ products
- Define principles
- Build tokens and foundations
- Build the component library
- Document and roll out
Outcome
In six months it became the single source of truth for designers and developers. Rework dropped and releases sped up.
40%faster design-to-dev handoff (5 days to 3)
58%fewer high-severity UI bugs per release (12 to 5)
0critical accessibility violations (down from 63)
